I've been making furniture since the 1980s after training as a woodwork teacher. I share a well-equipped workshop in Stockport with John Beswick and Joe Roberts, also fine cabinet makers .
While still undertaking a wide range of cabinetmaking projects, I have now chosen to specialise in alcove units having been commissioned to make many over the last few years. By specialising in this way I can standardise many manufacturing processes leading to greater efficiency and so better value for my clients.

I am married to the lovely Jayne, a nurse at Stepping Hill Hospital, and have three grown-up daughters, a twelve year-old son, and a baby grandson. My main interest outside family and work is golf, and I am a keen member at Reddish Vale. I have (temporarily?) retired from my earlier incarnation as a blues harmonica maestro frequenting the shadier bars and pubs of South Manchester with a succession of bands...
